Nikolaos Chatzikyriakos was born in Alatsata of Asia Minor around 1880. He died in 1922, while trying to escape from Turkish cavalry soldiers. His brother, Emmanuel Chatzikyriakos (1886-1979) managed to escape and fled to the Island of Lesvos. He died in 1979 at a nursing house in Plomari.
